Thanks again Eatie, heard good things about Basically Burgers from others as well so I will have to go. You make such a good case for it even “they” may have to go. If “they” aren’t already there looking for “us”. LOL. Still think Bubba’s is pretty good but may have to change my opinion once I try BB in Doylestown. Thanks for the comment.

My favorite burger in Bucks County can be found at the Cactus Grill on Route 611 between Plumsteadville and Ottsville.

Thanks Deb, drove by there on the way back from Bubba’s on Sunday. I will take a trip up there soon. Thanks for the tip.

[…] There is only one burger on the menu and it comes standard with lettuce, red onions, tomato slices, pickles and potato chips. To customize your burger,  John & Peter’s offers 6 Cheese Options; cheddar, Swiss, mozza, goat, blue cheese and pepper jack plus they also offer jalapenos, saute onions, saute peppers, salsa, mushrooms, roasted peppers and bacon.  I got mine with Swiss Cheese, Mushrooms and Bacon.  My first impression was the amount of bacon on the burger-5 slices.  After I assembled the burger, it was huge. The first bite made me feel like Guy Fieri from the Food Network.  I had to cut the burger in half to make it managable. In doing so I lost control of the mushrooms which squirted out onto the potato chips. No biggie but if they cooked the muchroom covered in cheese rather than place them on top of the cheese they may have stayed in the burger. The burger was very moist and I ended using three large napkins.  The burger was cooked Medium Rare, becoming the first burger we reviewed being pink in the middle. The biggest taste of this burger was the strong bacon taste and the actual ground beef taste. Another first as the fix’ins had overcome the meat taste in other reviewed burgers on the first couple of bites. The moist perfectly cooked 8 oz of ground beef, the amount of bacon, cheese options and fresh veggie options makes it one of the Best Burgers in Bucks.  Check out the other Best of Bucks- Burgers here. The absolute best burger in Bucks, by far, in taste, is BASICALLY BURGERS on State Street in Doylestown. It blows all others on the list away, and really puts 5 guys to shame. Not only are they delicious, made to order, have homemade buns, and do not charge for almost all toppings, (and they have dozens), the meat is, if not organic, free range and hormone free. Knowing that mad cow is in the food system more than “they” are telling us, this should be the only option for which we opt! They make sliders, and single, double, and triple burgers. If you are with a vegetarian, you HAVE to try the double decker grilled cheese. It is the MOST delicious thing! Crispy and oozy at the same time. The two guys who own it are great, and will try anything. Don’t miss the mustard/topping counter!
REALLY everyone; I mean Bubba’s? For shame!!!!

Finally got to check out Dilly’s Corner today. The Dilly Burger was very good, but my wife had a Asian Veggie Burger with wasabi sauce. Just outrageous. Looking forward to going back again.
